It's been a while since I last wrote a journal on this account. I've been more active over on my main account, mostly because I'm better known there than on here. I kinda wish that more people knew about this account. But who am I to complain? I'm just happy to see a few people enjoy what I have over here.
I have been making some illustrations for my story lately. I plan to make at least one illustration for each chapter of the story. So keep your eyes open for future posts here.
ALSO, I have something special I want to share with you all, since it's Valentine's Day. After I finished writing the first draft of "The Dragon Wars", I wanted to make a collection of short stories connected to it called "Tales Of Gontopia", which would take place after the events of the main story. I only wrote two stories for it before I ultimately scrapped the idea. What you're about to read is one of those stories, and possibly one of my favorites. I thought that you all deserve some Velore x Clair fluff this Valentine's Day, so here you go! Enjoy!
“Yeah!” agreed Liz, the daughter. “The one where you fought the sea serpent!”
“Alright, kids,” Velore said. “Settle down. I’ll tell you that story again.” He sat down in his throne. Arthur and Liz sat on the floor and looked at their father with anticipation. Velore cleared his throat and began his story.
“So there we were, out at sea to slay the sea serpent that threatened the bay. Your mother and I were searching for the beast across the entire sea. But we didn’t find it; it found us! And there it was, staring right at us. The serpent lunged at our boat, but we swiftly jumped out of its way. I whacked the beast on the head with my sword.
“Then it sprayed out poisonous gas from its mouth. We held our breaths. Suddenly, with its massive body, it lunged at us, snapping our boat right in half!
“I jumped off the boat just as it got destroyed. I landed on the serpents back with ease. He tried to shake me off, but I still held on tight. I climbed along his wet, scaly neck up to the top of his head. Then I took out my sword and stabbed him right in his forehead!
“I pushed my sword deeper and deeper into his head, right into his brain. I pulled my sword back out and swiftly jumped off as the serpent flailed around in pain. The beast fell and sank to the bottom of the sea. Soon the water was pure again, and I saved the bay!”
The children clapped. “Wow!” exclaimed Arthur. “You’re amazing, Dad!”
“That serpent was no match for you!” Liz agreed.
Queen Clair, who was sitting next to her husband, wasn’t really impressed with his story. “That’s not how I remember it…”

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

So last night I went to see the new Harry Potter spin-off movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" while my parents saw "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story". And what did I think of it? It was pretty good! It was interesting to see how magic and wizardry is viewed and handled in America rather than in Britain. I really liked seeing all the unique and amazing creatures in Newt's briefcase, like the thieving Niffler, the winged serpent Occamy, and the Thunderbird. The story is pretty good, as we uncover the mystery of the Obscurum tearing through New York. I would certainly recommend this movie to fans of the Harry Potter franchise and any fans of fantasy creatures. Hey, maybe this movie will give me ideas for my own beasts. Who knows?
